About the Internship:

The Ten-Day Internship Programme on “Empowering Students through Skill Development in Handicrafts: A Soft Skills and Entrepreneurship Internship” is an innovative, skill-oriented initiative organized by Uttarsuri, Sribhumi, Assam, in collaboration with the Department of Bengali, Gauhati University, Guwahati, from 28th October to 6th November 2026 at Bipin Chandra Paul Smriti Bhawan, Ramkrishna Mission Road, Sribhumi.
The programme aims to empower students by introducing them to the creative, practical and entrepreneurial dimensions of handicrafts. It seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and employability by developing hands-on skills alongside essential soft skills required for personal and professional growth.
The internship will provide practical exposure to selected handicraft techniques, creative design, product development, finishing and presentation. Alongside these practical sessions, participants will receive training in communication skills, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, time management, creativity, confidence building and professional behaviour.
Through a combination of expert sessions, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, interactive activities, group work and entrepreneurial exercises, the internship will provide participants with a meaningful learning experience and practical skills that can be applied beyond the classroom.

The programme ultimately seeks to foster creativity, confidence, employability and entrepreneurship, enabling students to transform their skills and ideas into meaningful opportunities for personal, professional and economic development

The Ten-Day Internship Programme on “Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Drama” (নাটকের তত্ত্ব ও প্রয়োগ) is an academic and practice-oriented initiative organized by Uttarsuri, Sribhumi, Assam, from 28th October to 6th November 2026 at Bipin Chandra Paul Smriti Bhawan, Ramkrishna Mission Road, Sribhumi.
The programme is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of drama by bringing together its theoretical foundations and practical dimensions. It will introduce participants to the nature, origin, development and major elements of drama, along with Indian and Western dramatic traditions and theories.
The practical component will focus on acting, voice modulation, dialogue delivery, body language, character development, improvisation, script reading, direction, stagecraft, lighting, sound, costume and make-up. Participants will also have opportunities to engage in role play, dramatic exercises, scene preparation and group performance.
Through a combination of expert lectures, interactive discussions, demonstrations, workshops, rehearsals and practical performances, the internship seeks to develop participants’ creativity, communication skills, confidence and understanding of theatrical practices.
The programme will ultimately provide participants with an opportunity to experience drama not only as a literary and artistic form, but also as a powerful medium of education, cultural expression, social communication and creative engagement.
